Black Watts Vision

For minorities in America, it can seem that achieving success is a steeper hill to climb. Weights and obstacles such as repetitive history, societal prejudice, and emotional exhaustion only further the need for community support in the fight to climb higher.

What began as a one-off Father’s Day event to rebuild in the midst of hardship quickly developed into something more. A way to endure through national distress. A way to support local businesses despite an economic downturn. A way to charitably contribute to families in need. And, of course, a way to stay fit.

Established in 2020, in the quintessence of difficulty, the Black Watts Cycling Club determined to give back to neighborhoods that are close to their New Jersey roots and to those that are more distant. With a kickstart of just over a dozen members, this is just the beginning.

What Our Members Are Saying

I just wanted to make sure we’re giving back because we’re blessed to live where we live, have the women in our lives that we have—and our kids.

— Jamison

We need each other to build each other up. To physically push one another. It’s the sense of community first for me.

— Blair

Motivation comes from within — and we’re here to help you activate it.
